VšZP contribution for renting a breathing monitor

Take advantage of the contribution from the General Health Insurance Company (VšZP) for renting a breathing monitor of up to €50 through the Health Wallet program.
The contribution can be applied to the loan of a breathing monitor from a provider of institutional healthcare.
Why take advantage of the contribution and rent a breathing monitor?
A breathing monitor tracks a baby’s breathing movements and heart activity during the most critical weeks after birth.
In case of a breathing pause, it triggers an alarm, allowing parents to respond immediately. Thanks to the VšZP contribution, you can obtain the monitor at a significantly lower cost without needing to purchase an expensive device.
Who can apply for the contribution?
A VšZP insured person – the application is submitted through the Health Wallet. Uninsured parents can use the contribution after registering their child with VšZP. Insurance can also be arranged online.
Step by step: How to submit an application
Add your child insured with VšZP to your account in the VšZP mobile app or in the eBranch.
Open the contribution application in the Health Wallet, either in the mobile app or in the eBranch.
The application is submitted for your child.
Fill in the required fields, attach the proof of payment for the breathing monitor, add the loan agreement, and submit the application.
5. WARNING! The application must be submitted within 60 days from the date of payment.
The company ID (IČO) in the application is always that of Nadácia Križovatka, i.e., 42132380 (even if you are renting the monitor from VšZP-contracted facilities).
After processing the submitted application, you will receive a notification in the VšZP mobile app. VšZP will transfer the contribution to the account you provided when applying.
Where can you rent a breathing monitor?
Breathing monitors are available at many loan locations across Slovakia, including hospitals and partner facilities of Nadácia Križovatka. Just choose the nearest location and conveniently pick up the monitor.
